11 DAYS TANZANIA SAFARI & ZANZIBAR BEACH HOLIDAY

DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a Safari Insight representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure—relax, swim, or explore the city.

DAY 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park – Elephant Kingdom

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania’s largest elephant herds. The park is famous for its towering baobab trees, lush river valleys, and year-round wildlife.

Attractions in Tarangire:

• Huge elephant concentrations

• Lions & leopards

• Over 550 bird species

• Baobab tree landscapes

• Tarangire River wildlife corridor

Activities:

• Full-day game drive

• Picnic lunch inside the park

• Optional sundowner

DAY 3: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park (Via Ngorongoro)

After breakfast, proceed to the legendary Serengeti National Park—the heart of Africa’s wildlife kingdom. As you enter the Serengeti plains, you’ll witness endless savannahs dotted with acacia trees and roaming wildlife.

• Stunning views of the Ngorongoro highlands

• Vast wildlife herds on the Serengeti plains

• En-route game drive

• Afternoon safari in Serengeti

DAY 4: Full Day in Serengeti – Wildlife & Big Cats

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration—millions of animals moving in search of greener pastures.

• The Great Migration (Dec–July in different areas)

• Big cats (lions, cheetahs, leopards)

• Hippos, giraffes, elephants

• The Seronera Valley (big-cat territory)

• Scenic kopjes

• Dawn game drive

DAY 5: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final Serengeti game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

• Olduvai Gorge (optional visit)

• Beautiful highland landscapes

• Wildlife viewing en-route

• Morning safari in Serengeti

• Drive towards Ngorongoro crater rim

DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour → Arusha

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of the densest wildlife areas in Africa. This is one of the best places to spot the Black Rhino.

• Flamingos on Lake Magadi

• Hippo pools

• Dense wildlife concentration

• Half-day crater game drive

• Drive back to Arusha

DAY 7: Fly from Arusha → Zanzibar Island – Beach Escape

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to your beach resort on the island’s turquoise coastline.

• Check-in & relaxation on the beach

DAY 8: Zanzibar Beach Relaxation Day

Enjoy your first full day in Zanzibar. This day is designed for pure relaxation.

DAY 9: Zanzibar Spice Tour & Stone Town Exploration

After breakfast, take a guided Spice Plantation Tour, where you’ll learn why Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island.” Continue to Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with culture and history.

• Spices: cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg

• Old slave market site

• Forodhani Gardens

• House of Wonders

• Narrow stone alleyways

• Walking tour in Stone Town

DAY 10: Zanzibar – Safari Blue or Mnemba Island (Optional)
