Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Safari Briefing & Relaxation
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Cheleli Adventure and Safaris representative who will transfer you to your lodge/camp in Arusha.
After check-in, enjoy a short briefing about the safari, equipment, expectations, and the adventure ahead. The rest of the day is for relaxation.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Game drive throughout the day.
Highlights:
Massive elephant herds
Baobab landscapes
Lions, leopards, cheetahs
Tarangire River wildlife concentration
Late afternoon, drive to the campsite inside or near the park for dinner and overnight.
Experience: Fall asleep to hyenas whooping and wildlife sounds around your camp.
Day 3: Tarangire → Lake Manyara Area (Cultural Activities)
After a final morning game drive in Tarangire, drive to Mto wa Mbu Village, a cultural melting pot with over 120 tribes.

Biking through the village
Visiting craft markets and local artists
Settle at your campsite near Lake Manyara for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park → Serengeti National Park (Central)
Begin with an early game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions, large hippo pools, and colorful birdlife.
Continue the journey toward the legendary Serengeti, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Arrive in the afternoon for a short game drive before heading to your Seronera campsite.
Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti’s rolling plains and wildlife-packed valleys.
Expect to see:
Big cats: lions, cheetahs, and leopards
Elephants, giraffes, buffalo
Hyenas, jackals, and large antelope
Possible wildebeest migration (seasonal)
Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic area and continue with game drives until evening.
Return to the campsite for dinner around the campfire.
Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti—sunrise is the best time for predators.
After lunch, drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at interesting viewpoints along the way.
Arrive at Simba Campsite, located on the crater rim with stunning sunset views.

Zebras and buffalo often wander near the campsite
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour → Karatu
Descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best wildlife-viewing areas on earth.
Expect to see:

Hippos in the pools
Massive herds of buffalo
Hyenas and jackals
Thousands of wildebeests & zebras
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool before ascending the crater and driving to your campsite in Karatu for overnight.
Day 8: Karatu → Lake Eyasi (Cultural Adventure with Hadzabe & Datoga)
Drive to Lake Eyasi, home to two fascinating tribes:
Hadzabe (Bushmen): Traditional hunter-gatherers
Datoga: Skilled blacksmiths
Activities:
Early morning hunting expedition with Hadzabe
Learning about traditional fire-making
Visiting the Datoga blacksmith workshops
Cultural interaction and traditional songs
Return to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Karatu → Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha with scenic views of the Great Rift Valley.
